Edge fixing / horizontal fixing is required for all roof systems. This version requires the use of one of our contact adhesives. The application can be carried out using the contact adhesives Hertalan KS137 or Hertalan KS205. If necessary, the end is additionally secured with the solvent-free adhesive Hertalan KS96.


Characteristics:
HERTALAN ® KS 137 shows a very strong adhesion, both between HERTALAN ® EPDM and when bonded to different substrates.
The adhesive bonds are elastic and waterproof. Always apply HERTALAN ® KS 137 to both sides . After complete curing, a heat resistance of approx. -40 °C to +80 °C is achieved.

Processing:
HERTALAN ®KS 137 is ready to use and must not be diluted or mixed with other materials. It must be applied in dry weather at temperatures above + 5 °C. The substrate must be dry, free of grease and clean.

TIPS: When no more adhesive sticks to the surface when you touch it with your finger, but the adhesive still feels sticky, it is the right time to bond. This method is safer than any time specification, as the drying time depends on the temperature and humidity. Particularly at high temperatures and low humidity, lightly spraying the adhesive strand with water will ensure that it hardens quickly and foams sufficiently.

Wann nutze ich Flächenkleber und wann Anschlusskleber?

Wenn Sie keine ausreichende Auflast (Gründach, Kies o.ä.) auf der Folie haben, wird die Lagesicherung gegen Sogwirkungen mittels Flächenkleber notwendig.

Anschlusskleber wird hingegen verwendet um den Randbereich, Kanten und Nahtstellen zu verkleben. (Kontaktkleber)

Wann benutze ich das Nass- oder Kontaktklebeverfahren?

Nassklebeverfahren: Wird verwendet, wenn eine hohe Anfangshaftung nicht erforderlich ist und der Kleber Zeit zum Trocknen hat, z. B. Holz und Beton

Kontaktklebeverfahren: Wird verwendet, wenn eine sofort starke Haftung erforderlich ist. (z. B. beim Verkleben der Attika)

Wie funktionieren das Nass- oder Kontaktklebeverfahren?

Nassklebeverfahren: Kleber wird einseitig auf den gereinigten Untergrund aufgetragen. Die EPDM-Folie wird auf den nassen Kleber gelegt und von der Mitte aus nach außen gefegt, um Falten und Blasen zu vermeiden.

Kontaktklebeverfahren: Kleber wird auf beide zu verklebenden Flächen aufgetragen und muss vollständig ablüften, bevor die Oberflächen mit möglichst großem Druck zusammengefügt werden.

Welche Vorteile bietet wasserbasierter Kleber?

Unser wasserbasierte Kleber ist leicht anwendbar. Es sind keine umweltschädlichen Stoffe enthalten.

Er ist frei von Lösungsmitteln, weshalb keine Brandgefahr besteht.
