Range / Consumption:
The surface should be dry, dust-free and grease-free.

Wood - OSB boards, plywood boards, planed formwork:

• Wet adhesive application: up to 6 m² / liter
• Contact adhesive application: up to 3 m² / liter

Wood – unplaned, tongue and groove boards:

• Wet application method: up to 4.8 m² / liter
• Contact adhesive application: up to 2.4 m² / liter

Concrete (highly absorbent substrate):

• Wet application method: up to 3 m² / liter
• Contact adhesive application: up to 1.5 m² / liter

Wet adhesive application

• When did we apply this procedure?
  • Bonding of the main surface of the roof
  • The edges (approx. 40-50 cm) should be glued using contact adhesive.

• What are the advantages of this method?
  • No waiting time for the adhesive to evaporate.
  • Less adhesive is used due to applying the adhesive to one side only.

• Procedure:
  • Adhesive is applied to one side of the substrate (e.g. wood) using a short-pile roller.
  • The roofing membrane is then laid onto the wet adhesive (within 3-5 minutes).
  • Use a broom to "sweep" the wrinkles or bubbles from the center outwards.
  • The wet bonding method is only applicable to breathable substrates (such as wood), as the adhesive must dry from the substrate outwards.
  • The adhesive takes up to 24 hours to cure.

Contact adhesive bonding process:

  • Sealing the edges (approx. 40 – 50 cm)
  • Bonding of vertical surfaces

• What are the advantages of this method?
  • The roofing membrane adheres firmly to the substrate immediately after being pressed down.
  • This is especially important if you want to glue vertical surfaces (e.g., walls, parapets).

• Procedure:
  • Adhesive is applied to both sides – to the EPDM membrane as well as to the substrate (e.g. wood) – using a short-pile roller.
  • The adhesive must dry completely or evaporate.
    • Duration approx. 5 – 30 minutes
    • The adhesive becomes transparent
    • Perform finger test
  • The foil can then be laid and pressed down.
  • The contact adhesive method is used when drying through the substrate is not possible.
