Range / Consumption:
The surface should be dry, dust- and grease-free

Wood - OSB boards, plywood boards, planed formwork:

• Wet bonding method: up to 15 m²
• Contact bonding method: up to 7.5 m²

Wood – unplaned, rough-sawn boards:

• Wet bonding method: up to 12.0 m²
• Contact bonding method: up to 6.0 m²

Concrete (highly absorbent substrate):

• Wet bonding method: up to 7.5 m²
• Contact bonding method: up to 3.75 m²

• When is this procedure used?
  • Bonding the main surface of the roof
  • The edges (approx. 40 – 50 cm) should be glued using the contact adhesive method

• What are the advantages of this procedure?
  • No waiting time for the adhesive to evaporate
  • Less adhesive due to one-sided application of the adhesive

• Procedure:
  • Glue is applied to one side of the substrate (e.g. wood) using a short-pile roller
  • The roofing membrane is then placed on the wet adhesive (within 3-5 minutes)
  • Use a broom to “sweep” the wrinkles or bubbles from the center to the side
  • The wet bonding method can only be used on diffusible substrates (such as wood), as the adhesive must dry from the substrate.
  • The adhesive hardens within 24 hours

Contact bonding process:

• When is this procedure used?
  • Bonding the edges (approx. 40 – 50 cm)
  • bonding vertical surfaces

• What are the advantages of this procedure?
  • The roof foil is immediately firmly attached to the substrate after pressing
  • Particularly important if you want to glue vertical surfaces (e.g. wall, parapet)

• Procedure:
  • Adhesive is applied to both sides – both on the EPDM film and on the substrate (e.g. wood) – with a short pile roller
  • The adhesive must dry completely or evaporate
    • Duration approx. 5 – 30 minutes
    • Glue becomes transparent

  • The film can then be laid and pressed down
  • The contact bonding method is used when drying is not possible due to the substrate, e.g. with metal, painted wood, etc.
