The EGOBON 217 is a sealing tape based on butyl rubber. This double-sided self-adhesive, thermoplastic sealing tape adheres to almost all typical construction substrates (wood, metal, aluminum, concrete, stone, plastic, and glass). The substrate must be clean, dust-free, grease-free, and dry.

EGOBON 217 stands out due to its high quality and functionality, especially in industrial applications and in the field of "sustainable building." Therefore, it is the optimal solution for fixing EPDM membranes or membrane strips to structures, particularly in difficult areas such as facade penetrations (windows & doors), roof edges, expansion joints, and cracks in existing roof waterproofing.

EGOBON 217 is a permanently tacky butyl sealing tape, characterized by easy application. Due to its UV, weather, and aging resistance, it has an almost unlimited lifespan and permanent functionality.

⚠️ Important application note:

Suitable for fixing and connecting EPDM membranes to structures/substrates. Not suitable for permanent seam bonding of EPDM membrane to EPDM membrane in load-bearing flat roof areas. For this, you will need a primer and seam tape.
