The sealed substrate must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that no damage can occur to the seal after the drainage sheet has been laid.
The waterproofing must be root-resistant in accordance with FLL or protected by a root protection film. Lay a nonwoven fabric as a protective and separating layer with a weight of at least 300 g/m2 (in accordance with FLL guidelines) on the waterproofing.
Drainage and water storage element HDPE NB 20 - 150 HDPE NB 20 - 150 is laid horizontally with the studs facing the subsurface by rolling it out. The filter-stable geotextile faces upwards. The studded sheets are overlapped by 10 cm (two rows of studs). The studded sheet can be cut to the required length using a blade knife, without damaging the seal.
If the laid sheets need to be extended, the connecting sheet is pushed under from below by at least 20 cm.
The horizontal overlaps are shingled in the direction of the water flow.
On rising components, the dimpled sheet should be raised at least 10 cm (2 rows of dimples).

The plant substrate can then be applied directly. Professionally install strips of round gravel 30 cm wide on the edges of the roof and 20 cm wide around the roof inlets.
In walkable areas without vegetation, the geotextile should be removed. The base layer and the bedding material can then be applied directly to the dimpled sheet without changing the material, and the paving or slab covering can then be installed on top.
The perforation makes the water-storing drainage sheet permeable to diffusion and can also be used for inverted roofs. This means that no water film can form on the inverted insulation.

The 20 mm dimpled sheet also offers a disproportionate drainage capacity of i = 1.00; approx. 8.54 l/s·m. It can therefore also be used with very long drainage lengths and/or very low roof pitches.
