Surface adhesive - Zettex PU120

Ready-to-use 1-component solvent-based polyurethane adhesive

Product information:

• Glue is only applied to the substrate (e.g. bitumen) - wet bonding process
• Ideal for bonding EPDM roofing membranes to almost all substrates (e.g. bitumen, concrete, wood, steel, etc.)
• Not suitable for EPS insulation boards
• The resulting compound has a high temperature and aging resistance
• Low consumption
• Easy processing

Range / Consumption (2 kg / 5 kg) – wet bonding process:

• Bitumen: up to 8 m² / 20 m²
• Concrete: up to 10 m² / 25 m²
• Wood: up to 12 m² / 30 m²

Wet bonding process:

• When is this procedure used?
  • Bonding the main surface of the roof
  • The edges (approx. 40 – 50 cm) should be glued using the contact adhesive method
  • Our product recommendation for you:

    • Spraybond X30 MP 750ml

• What are the advantages of this procedure?
  • No waiting time for the adhesive to evaporate.
  • Less adhesive due to one-sided application of the adhesive

• Procedure:
  • Adhesive is applied to one side of the substrate (e.g. bitumen) using a short pile roller
  • The surface should be dry, dust- and grease-free
  • 60% of the surface should be glued according to the manufacturer
  • Immediately after applying the adhesive, the EPDM film must be rolled out (within 5 to 10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity)
  • If air bubbles form, they should be smoothed out as quickly as possible
  • It is important that the EPDM is pressed well onto the surface to ensure good adhesion.
  • The adhesive reaches its final strength after 48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
